Max Speed: Distance Covered: According to these diaries, this was my first sail since 15th September 2010... :-O A beautiful sunny early evening in Brighton, with plenty of wind, so I couldn't say no to a quick trip to Shoreham. It took a while to find some of my kit and remember how it all crams into the car, but I got there in the end. Did just an hour, and certainly wans't doing anything but grooving just to get back into it, but very nice it was anyway. Not at all cold (well, just a little on the hands), although I did join everyone else in wearing boots. Don't think it was really necessary though - will definitely try without next time. No point in being uncomfortable the first time out in 6 months though (that's an absolutely shocking statistic!). Happy after being back on the water at last, so can't really complain about anything. |
